Letter from the Revd. Canon Trevor Pitt, Principal of NEOC:
“Over many years, the North-East Oecumenical Course prepared mature candidates for the Ministries of the Anglican, Methodist and United Reformed churches.
VCN’s Durham based Voice Tutor, George Inman, provided group and individual tuition at our residential sessions. The aim was to help students to develop a basic ability to speak clearly, safely and effectively in a variety of acoustics and to a variety of audiences. Additionally, the sessions gave the students a practical grasp of the mechanisms of the voice and the skills of presentation.
Every student was offered a solid grounding in the essentials of voice. Individual help was given to those who needed it, many of them self-referred. Feedback was given to students’ contributions to public worship.
Many of the graduates of the NEOC have expressed much appreciation of George’s tuition, knowledge, encouragement and support.
